The Almost World Famous Engagement Chart!

The engagement chart will give you the information you need to sort out (of the major players in the game) who is engaged to who, who is in love with who, why or how they got engaged and where they are registered! The chart is fairly simple to read. I used graphics, mostly because I like to make graphics.

Ranma Saotome is engaged to Akane Tendo A long time ago, Genma Saotome and Soun Tendo made an arrangement that Ranma would marry one of Soun's daughters in order to carry on the Anything Goes School of Martial Arts. In the first episode of the anime, Akane is picked because she doesn't like boys, according to her sisters, and since Ranma is only half boy (thanks to the curse) they would make the perfect match. In the beginning the two of them couldn't stand each other, but it has since became love. I don't care what anyone says. The chart doesn't lie.

Ranma Saotome is engaged to Ukyou Konji... Sorta... A long time ago, but not as long ago as above, the stupid, stupid, greedy Genma promised Ukyou's father to take her with him and have her marry Ranma in exchange for the family's okonomiyaki cart. Well surprise, surprise, Genma bolted with Ranma and the cart, but not with Ukyou, assuming that they would never meet again. Now, Ukyou has caught up with them, and is in love with Ranma. She feels the engagement is still real and official, even though the one to Akane pre-dated hers. I tell you... Other people's children...

Ranma Saotome is engaged to Shampoo... sorta A long time ago - again not as long as the above, the very hungry, and at the time female Ranma, and her father ate all the food that was supposed to be a prize for an amazon fighting contest in Shampoo's village. Rather than piss everyone off, Ranma felt that if he kicked Shampoo's ass, he could legitimize his and Genma's scarfing of the food. Well, turns out that due to amazon law, Shampoo was now required to kill Ranma. After catching back up with him in Japan, Shampoo found out that Ranma was a guy, so now instead of having to kill him, she had to marry him. Confused? Me too, and I wrote it.

Akane Tendo is stalked by Tatewaki Kuno and Ryouga Hibiki There is no history to this. Kuno has always been obsessed with Akane. Ryouga became obsessed with Akane after he returned to kill Ranma. He saw how sweet she was to him while he was in his P-Chan form. He doesn't let Akane know that he is P-Chan, and Akane can't figure it out because she's obviously a modern day Rainman, only without the savant part.

Shampoo is stalked by Mousse Mousse reminds me a lot of me. Well except that I am much fatter, and not quite as insane. Mousse was a kid who wouldn't accept the fact that Shampoo wouldn't date/marry him. The fact that she is after Ranma now doesn't help that. So now Mousse feels that is he kicks Ranma's ass then Shampoo would fall madly in love with him. So that's how it works...
